Gill Morrell

British author but as far as I know not published in the UK. She has written a number of pony books for the USA/German publisher Stabenfeldt, although they sadly were not taken up by British publishers. Gill was born near London and though she longed to ride, it was not until she was a student and went on a trekking holiday in Scotland that her wish came true. She now lives in Somerset and has taken up riding once more. As well as writing she also teaches and writes and directs plays. She founded a theatre group called the Malford Players.

Collectors Info:
Ms. Morrell is one of a number of British authors who have been published by Stabenfeldt/Pony in the USA but not in the UK. The books are rarely seen in the UK although one or two copies can be found from specialist dealers on the internet. Easy to find in America.

Other Horse & Pony Books:

THE GIFT HORSE
(STABENFELDT/PONY CLUB [USA] 2010)
SUMMARY: Getting a horse for your birthday should be a dream come true but when Poppy and her twin sister Ruby are given Thunder, they aren't so sure. He seems too fast and wild after the sedate riding school ponies!

Collectors Info:
Easy to find in the USA, much harder elsewhere.
