Gill Morrell

British author but as far as I know not published in the UK. Has written books for the USA/German publisher Stabenfeldt which can be bought at the Stabenfeldt/Pony Club website.
Gill was born near London and though she longed to ride, it was not until she was a student and went on a trekking holiday in Scotland that her wish came true. She now lives in Somerset and has taken up riding once more. As well as writing she also teaches and writes plays and directs. She founded a theatre group called the Malford Players.

Gill has written four pony books. She is now also working on an adult novel.

Collectors Info:
Ms. Morrell is one of a number of British authors who have been published by Stanenfeldt/Pony Club in the USA but not over here. The books are rarely seen in the UK although one or two copies can be found from specialist dealers or on ebay. Easy to find in America. Some titles may still be in print and available on the Stabenfeldt/Pony Club website. The books are all smallish hardbacks with pictorial boards.

Other Pony Books:

THE GIFT HORSE
(STABENFELDT/PONY CLUB [USA] 2010)
SUMMARY: Getting a horse for your birthday should be a dream come true but when Poppy and her twin sister Ruby are given Thunder, they aren't so sure. He seems too fast and wild after the sedate riding school ponies!

Collectors Info:
In print at the moment and available from the Stabenfeldt/Pony Club website. Hard to find anywhere else at the present time.
